How Will You Make a Difference?
Provide hands-on HR consulting and coaching to managers on employee performance, coaching tools and fundamentals, retention strategies, and compensation.
Interpret and apply firm personnel policies and employment laws to ensure compliance and consistency across the firm.
Manage key HR projects, including compensation surveys, immigration processes (e.g., work authorizations, permanent residency applications), and more.
Develop and refine HR procedures to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance; educate and support managers in implementation.
Track and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and performance trends to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Conduct internal fact-finding and investigations, ensuring thorough and coordination with outside employment counsel as needed.
Collaborate with Benefits to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other employment regulations.
Maintain and update firm-wide job description library, partnering with managers to create and revise as needed.
Help reinforce the firm's culture through consistent HR practices and thoughtful communication. What Will You Bring to the Table?
Strong knowledge of human resources at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field-or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a professional services environment.
Solid understanding of compensation practices and employment law compliance at both state and federal levels.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills; able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to build trust, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Willingness and ability to work in the Minneapolis office at least 2 days per month, with flexibility for occasional additional in-person needs. Why Fish?

The salary range for this position varies by geographic market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting pay is $80,000 - $115,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.
