We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Business Litigation practice group in downtown Minneapolis.

General Responsibilities

Prepare legal documents and correspondence

Assemble and file documents electronically through Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) for a variety of district, state, and appellate courts

Frequently correspond with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and court personnel

Process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process

Maintain client files and contact information

Calendar management: schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements

Proactively ensure the legal team is prepared with necessary materials for meetings, depositions, hearings, trials, etc.

Open, review, and direct mail

Other administrative tasks as assigned

Position Expectations

Strong E-filing experience at state and federal levels

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong commitment to client service

Ability to work with and take direction from multiple individuals, as well as the ability to work independently

Good planning, prioritization, and organizational skills

Excellent administrative/secretarial and proofreading skills

Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

Ability to problem-solve and use sound judgement

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Ability to manage conflicting priorities with competing deadlines

Positive and professional demeanor

Requirements

3+ years of legal administrative experience, Business Litigation experience strongly preferred

Minimum of high school graduation, Business school or related professional legal secretarial degree preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Proficiency in ECF in both state and federal levels

Proven ability to manage multiple calendars, including docketing of court deadlines
