Key Responsibilities

Lead estimation efforts by reviewing and validating the General Contractor budgets

Ensure cost estimates are accurate, aligned with milestones, and within budget

Manage the preconstruction budget and participate in the buy-out process to identify savings

Build and maintain a database of construction costs across projects

Cultivate and manage subcontractor relationships for pricing and bid accuracy

Oversee preconstruction processes across multiple simultaneous projects

Develop and lead subordinate estimators to foster professional growth and technical excellence

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

4–6 years of relevant experience in construction estimating or project management

Strong working knowledge of construction practices, processes, and applicable local construction laws

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Timberline, and On Screen Takeoff

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong time management, follow-up, and multi-tasking abilities

Self-motivated, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and in team environments

Can be based in Baton Rouge or Lafayette, LA
