We are hiring operationally savvy developers to join ourFront Office Technologyteam supportingMunicipal (Muni) trading and executionat one of the world's largest asset managers. This team of full stack engineers maintains and enhancescross-asset execution managementcapabilities, sitting at the intersection ofsystems administration and development. The role focuses on daily support and continuousimprovement/automationof trading technology platforms.
As aDevOps Support Engineer, you will be theprimary contact for business usersof a complex Muni trading platform, working closely withdevelopment, infrastructure, and vendor teams. Over time, the role will expand to support other asset classes and businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintaintelemetry and observability solutions
Leadincident analysis, mitigation, andblameless postmortems, implementing long-term solutions
Identify and reducetoilthrough workflow and incident pattern analysis
Plan, lead, and optimizeproduction software and infrastructurefor capacity and resiliency
ApplyAI and next-gen toolsto improve uptime, efficiency, and scalability
Collaborate withengineering, infrastructure, and third-party teams
Position Requirements:
2+ yearsin a support role for trading or financial services;Muni experienceis a plus, but any asset class is welcome
Coding/scripting experience in at least one major language (Python, C#, Java, C++, etc.)
Strong focus onautomationof manual tasks and processes
Proven skills inincident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution in trading environments
Proficient insystem/network admin(Unix, Windows), cloud tech (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes), and infrastructure components (routers, load balancers, etc.)
Experience withRDBMSsystems
Understanding ofITILpractices (Incident, Problem, Change, Config Mgmt.)
Knowledge ofSRE principles(SLI, SLO, error budgets)
Familiarity with observability tools likeDatadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Splunk, Geneos, etc.
Interest in or experience withAI and prompt engineeringis a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, andproactive planning mindset
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working withlocal business users
Bachelor's degree in STEMor equivalent experience
