Operations Manager

MBS is hiring an Operation Manager in Covington, KY. This position is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead all operational departments across shifts to meet production goals and customer demand.

Optimize production workflows, minimize downtime, and ensure equipment efficiency in collaboration with Maintenance and Engineering.

Develop, mentor, and support production managers and supervisors; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Partner with HR for staffing, training, and retention initiatives; support employee onboarding and skills development.

Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive productivity, quality, and safety improvements.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, OSHA, and ISO standards.

Monitor KPIs, manage budgets, and oversee cost control efforts.

Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production issues and align operational strategies with company goals.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.

7+ years in manufacturing operations leadership.

Strong background in Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement.

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.

ERP system proficiency; textile or industrial yarn experience a plus.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.

Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.

Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.

Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
