Overview
The EHS Consultant is responsible for leading and promoting Mobis US Corporations EHS initiatives, ensuring that the site remains in compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations, and providing leadership and guidance to Mobis EHS Team members.
Responsibilities

Develop internal programs and collaborate with corporate Risk Management to identify and eliminate EHS hazards and risks
Utilize EHS and Risk Management databases and Microsoft applications to analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports and presentations per ISO45001 and ISO14001 systems
Communicate and collaborate with South Korea headquarters organizations as needed.
Review and develop internal safety policies and practices and ensure they are current and appropriate
Conduct incident investigations to determine root cause and necessary corrective actions for sustainable results
Develop and implement policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace
Prepare reports on the EHS monthly/yearly index or new EHS initiative plans for HQ reporting.
Promote EHS awareness through continuous and timely EHS communications
Develop and deliver training programs related to OSHA, EPA, Mobis standards, and customer requirements
Establish, develop, and manage relationships with Hyundai Motor Group affiliates and state, county, and city authorities.
Conduct audits of high-risk programs
Actively participate in the scheduling of safety meetings across all programs to review safety performance
Provide written reports, as well as other EHS-related results and updates, to senior management as needed to inform the staff of critical issues
Monitor and assist operations in the enforcement of EHS regulations

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in occupational health & safety or related field OR an Associate's Degree in occupational health & safety Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience
5 years of experience in an EHS-related management or training role Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
Must be bilingual, speaking Korean/English Preferred Education & Experience:
Master's degree in occupational health & safety & environmental health and safety or related field
Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification Licenses and Registrations: None are required
Working Conditions:
Ability to traverse around production floor
If emergency occurs, may need to stay until issue is resolved
Domestic and International travel as required
