Under direction and supervision from the Quality Manager, maintain a Quality/Process Control presence on the floor and promote quality compliance for all employees. Ensure all product entering and leaving MT-TX meets or exceeds all internal and external quality requirements.

Job Duties Include:

Over-Inspection/ Final Audit

· Review final inspections and/or perform sample inspections on parts prior to shipping

· Perform final part audits

· Perform final traveler audits at the end of process operations for completeness and accuracy

· Review and validate supporting documentation including inspection records, special process certifications, and conformity statements

Certification

· Complete FAA 8130-1 forms, as necessary

· Complete Certification of Conformances, as necessary

· Assign and print packing slips for all customer shipments

Shipping & Receiving Assistance / Support

· Assist Shipping and Receiving as needed with incoming and outgoing products and material verification

· Answer discrepancies in a timely manner to support operational requirements

Daily Quality Assistance / Support

· Work independently or with the Operations or Engineering to resolve various quality issues in a timely manner

· Perform quality tasks as assigned by Quality Manager

· Work with Quality Engineer, Operations, and Quality to complete Continuous Improvement projects in a timely manner

System Audits

· Perform QMS and FAA/EASA audits per documented audit schedule as needed

RCCA/CAR Systems

· Support root cause/corrective action process

· Assist with the overall corrective action input and follow-up

Quality Documentation

· Maintain the Approved Vendors Log

· Contract Review- verify customer quality requirements can be met

· Review, Maintain, and Update Quality documentation as needed to ensure compliance

Skills/Qualifications:

· A&P License or Powerplant certification preferred

· Ability to obtain FAA Repairman’s license

· 2-5 years’ experience in Aviation/Aerospace Repair

· Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)- documentation required

· High School Diploma/equivalent- documentation required

· Previous experience auditing quality systems such as AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required

· Ability to use standard gauges: micrometers, height gauges, calipers, etc.

· Ability to create detailed documents for others to follow

· Prior experience/training as an internal auditor preferred

· Prior experience with NDT: FPI, X-Ray, etc. is preferred

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ongoing FAA training and testing required.

· MTI is a safety sensitive manufacturer. As such, successful results of pre-employment FAA drug testing will be required.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the facility, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. Work in office environment and use of computer (typical 2-button scroll mouse and keyboard – 50% of the work day). The employee must frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Vision requirements are 20/30 corrected. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required PPE.
