Assistant Branch Manager

ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER POSITION
Our Assistant Branch Manager plays a key role in supporting the Branch Manager and leading branch operations. Creating an environment that encourages the use of electronic banking services, educates members, providing superior service and developing relationships to position the credit union for future growth opportunities is key in this role. The Assistant Branch Manager helps coach and develop the branch team, ensures operational excellence, and steps in to lead the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Job Duties include supporting strategy execution to achieve branch and credit union goals, overseeing staff training and development, ensuring compliance with credit union policies and procedures, and directly assisting members with complex questions or concerns. In addition, this role supports various operational functions, such as audits, cash controls, dual control procedures, and may perform Member Service Representative duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Three years of previous management experience in a financial institution, or
One year of previous Teller experience; and
One year of previous new accounts experience; and
Two years of previous lending experience, and
One year of previous supervisory experience.
Knowledge of general financial institution policies and procedures.
Intermediate level proficiency with computers and software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Fluency in Spanish (speak/read/write) required for certain locations.
Associates Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
Experience with Episys/Symitar preferred.
