Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support our midstream energy business. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting—ideally within the energy sector. This role will assist in developing financial budgets tracking capital project performance, and preparing operational reporting for key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting for assigned assets and projects
Assist with budgeting processes, including capital and operational expenditures
Analyze transportation contracts, tariffs, and volumetric data to assess commercial performance
Partner with operations, accounting, and commercial teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment
Prepare ad-hoc financial models to support project investment decisions and scenario analysis
Monitor key KPIs and assist with internal dashboards and reporting tools
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
3–5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or infrastructure
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus
Experience with utility accounting principles, including cost allocation and regulatory reporting requirements
Working knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with FERC accounting or midstream-specific metrics a plus
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Experience
Exposure to utility and/or IT industries
Experience supporting CapEx-heavy projects or cost recovery mechanisms
Prior use of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
