Akkodis is seeking VMware Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Richmond, VA/Charlotte, NC/Chandler, AZ - Hybrid (3 days on site in a Week). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.
Pay: $57-60/hour – All Inclusive; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Familiarity with Troubleshooting/Firewalls.
Details:
Systems engineer responsible for scheduling, coordinating and troubleshooting VM migrations in a production VMware based Cloud service on HP and Dell server hardware. Requires some weekend and evening work.
Minimum 2 years' experience supporting and troubleshooting issues for VMware vSphere and ESXi 7.x and 8.x beyond VM support.
Strong networking, infrastructure knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Experience in executing technical strategy
Ability to work in a high pressure environment where time to deliver is of paramount importance
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience in planning and implementing large technical projects
Ability to follow, define, document and implement technical procedures
Strong understanding and experience with security and authentication of VMWare and hardware interfaces
Strong understanding and ability to work to an ITIL framework
Experience in communication with and working on global teams within large organization
Assisting with the business cases and understanding stakeholders’ expectations and objectives
