Reports to: Principal

Pay Grade: C4: ($18.26 - $26.28)

Grade(s) / Level: 9th - 12th

Days/Dates: 206 (07/21/2025 - 06/11/2026)

Primary Purpose

Facilitate the efficient operation of the guidance department office and provide data entry services for the high school guidance office.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

Valid Texas driver's license with driving record that meets District requirements

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Proficient skills in typing, word processing, file maintenance

Ability to operate computer and other business machines

Effective organizational. communication, and interpersonal skills

Proficient in record keeping and data processing programming

Experience:

One to three years of data processing experience preferably in a public education environment.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Operate the on-line computer terminal to the Education Service Center to update data on student scheduling of classes.

Performs initial entries and subsequent updating of students schedules.

Coordinates the computer program with the proposed schedule for the ensuing year.

Enters and maintains the master schedule.

Performs daily student report and distributes to teachers and designated departments.

Provide reports for teachers as requested.

Manages the computerized student progress report system.

Manages all aspects of the grade reporting system to include student honor rolls, ineligible lists, mailing of report cards, distribution of statistics, monitoring of incomplete grades, and updating of grades on the on-line system.

Collects and enters data for required reporting in the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).

Manages the computerized grade average system.

Demands/Environmental Factors:

The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
