Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst (BA) with specialized expertise in Life Insurance and proven skills in application migration efforts for our team in McKinney, TX. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, analyzing, and addressing the functional and technical needs of migrating custom-developed applications to Salesforce.

This role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders to perform business process analysis, gap analysis, and functional mapping, while also providing thought leadership in reimagining workflows on the Salesforce platform to drive innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Discovery Effort for Application Migration: Lead the discovery process to evaluate the feasibility of moving custom-developed applications to Salesforce.

Gap Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis to identify differences between existing solutions and Salesforce capabilities and recommend bridging strategies.

Functionality Mapping: Map existing functionalities from legacy systems to Salesforce features, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and validate requirements.

Challenging the Status Quo: Proactively challenge stakeholders to explore alternative processes and architectural solutions, leveraging Salesforce best practices.

Solution Design Oversight: Work with technical teams to ensure that the proposed solutions align with Salesforce functionality, scalability, and platform rules.

Documentation: Prepare high-quality documentation, including requirements, use cases, process flows, and gap analysis reports, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.

Testing & Validation: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the solution against requirements.

Onsite Collaboration: Physically work with the team in McKinney, TX, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Experience in Salesforce:

Strong hands-on experience as a Salesforce BA, with knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Life Insurance-related solutions preferred.

Familiarity with Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.

Domain Expertise in Life Insurance:

Proven experience in working within Life Insurance processes (e.g., underwriting, policy issuance, claims, etc.).

Migration Experience:

Solid understanding of the migration process, including translating business needs into Salesforce outcomes.

Ability to perform gap analysis and functionality mapping between Salesforce and custom-developed applications.

Technical Understanding:

While this is not a developer role, basic knowledge of Salesforce configurations is required to communicate effectively with technical teams.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholder groups.

Critical thinking and creativity to identify alternative approaches and solutions.

Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

Preferred Skills:

Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Business Analyst, Admin) are a plus.

Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Experience in working with both onshore and offshore team models.

Note: Candidate must be able to work full-time onsite in McKinney, TX.

Customer prefers hybrid – 3 days/week onsite.
