Job Description:

Leads the daily operational activities of the FOD Stockroom. Supports District, Zone, and Central Shops, Janitorial and MRO supply needs, sourcing specialty items and project materials directly to meet organizational requirements, covering approximately 15 million gross square feet of the Academic District. Key responsibilities include working with managers of multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance culture, collaborating with the FDC Project Team on strategic supply chain planning of major construction and renovation projects. Is responsible for planning and managing onsite and offsite locations by monitoring reports on stock levels, supplier lead times, and stockroom and staff performance utilizing CMS and Workday. This role monitors key part stock levels and drives stock/non-stock decisions based on organizational demand. Initiates the process of purchase orders, monitors the receiving, kitting and distribution of items. Coordinates and directs contractors. Additionally, the manager engages stakeholders to meet or exceed customer expectations, advocates for facility supply needs related to capital, security, and health requirements. Trains and develops student employees. The position typically works from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm but may require flexibility in shifts, hours, days, and location as operations dictate and is subject to 24-hour emergency calls. Successful completion of a criminal background check is required. In accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17, this role is designated as essential.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.

Required Qualifications

Minimum three years, preferred four to five years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, along with experience in lean projects and a customer-driven environment. They should have a proven track record of training others and possess knowledge of University systems. The role requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and involves standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse for extended periods. A valid driver's license and the ability to drive box trucks are essential.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $28.22-$37.12 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
