Required Skills and Experience:

At least five years of IT testing and test automation experience, primarily using Ruby.

Ruby and Cucumber experience is mandatory and is an absolute requirement.

Demonstrated knowledge of testing processes, standards and best practices

Test automation development experience

Developing automation tests from acceptance test criteria requirements

Understanding of one or more functional Object-Oriented programming languages including Ruby

Writing complex queries and scripts using SQL

Knowledge of OOP design principles

Knowledge of Acceptance Test Driven Development/Test Driven Development

Experience creating Ruby test automation in an Agile/lean development environment

Experience creating test automation frameworks from scratch.

Identify and manage defects, secure fixes and re-run tests

Gherkin (or similar product) experience

Experience following Agile/SCRUM practices

Experience using Quality Center for defect tracking

Experience organizing and managing test automation code assets

Experience creating and implementing test plans and strategies, test data management strategies, and risk and dependency mitigation strategies for all phases of development.

Ability to track and report testing metrics to stakeholders

Experience collaborating and coordinating with business partners

Experience coaching and mentoring teams on testing and best practices.

Ability to create strategy around automated testing vs manual testing

Solid leadership skills and a strong desire to learn new technologies and development practices.

Experience collaborating and negotiating in a team environment

Excellent communication and people interaction skills to communicate programming plans and procedures and to interact with all levels

Undergraduate studies in computer science or a related field is preferred.

Ability to analyze complex applications and systems.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills for identifying issues and their impact and developing solutions.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Test Automation Developer who will create automated tests using Ruby and Cucumber. You will be part of a highly collaborative team and will:

Understand and follow Agile/SCRUM practices (daily stand-ups, 3 Amigos, estimation, iteration planning, etc.)

Collaborate and coordinate with business partners throughout testing phases

Adhere to enterprise processes such as Quality Center for defects

Oversee the design, development or refactoring of test automation components

Review automation code for consistency and technical standards

Ensure Build-to-Run transition of automation suite is conducted and documented for Run Team.

Promote enterprise test automation coding standards and tool selection for code build.

Serve as an Agile champion on the team.

Foster a continuous improvement and team collaborative culture.
