Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to take full ownership of technical projects from kickoff to completion. This role involves close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and vendors to deliver successful IT initiatives such as client onboarding, cloud infrastructure deployment, and network upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation
Execute projects based on approved Statements of Work and technical designs
Create and follow detailed checklists and procedures
Track project hours (budgeted vs. actual)
Identify out-of-scope work and initiate change order requests
Report on project metrics and ensure goals are met
Maintain timely and accurate service ticket updates and time entries
Individual metrics include ticket closure rates, escalation compliance, and adherence to schedules
Architectural Design & Review
Develop project designs with milestones and timelines
Collaborate with project leadership to draft and finalize Statements of Work
Conduct design reviews to ensure project readiness
Documentation
Consistently report on progress and performance metrics
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of project steps and outcomes
Focus on project efficiency through metrics like scheduled vs. actual project hours and percentage of billable time
Other Responsibilities
Participate in scheduled team huddles and report on individual performance metrics
Alert leadership to recurring technical issues or clients at risk
Stay current with evolving technologies and best practices
Collaborate effectively within a team setting
Be available for planned and emergency after-hours work as needed
Demonstrate a positive, client-focused mindset with initiative and ownership
Train and mentor junior technical staff
Manage multiple projects effectively through strong time management and prioritization
Communicate clearly and professionally with both clients and team members
Exhibit patience, foresight, and confidence in project delivery
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in an IT services, MSP, or consulting environment
Strong technical knowledge of:
Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD
Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
Networking (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs)
PowerShell or other scripting languages (a plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
A proactive approach with strong documentation habits
