About the Role:

We're looking for a resourceful and personableIT Systems Administratorto join our growing technology team. In this hybrid role, you'll split your time between ticket escalations and hands-on project work, with a strong focus on systems configuration, VMware environments, Windows servers, and scripting. What You'll Do:

Own the full server lifecycle: from receiving and setting up new servers to configuration and deployment.

Support escalated Tier 2+ tickets (approx. 20% of workload), collaborating with a team of six.

Lead and support infrastructure projects including creating InTune policies and deploying file-level encryption for servers.

Manage and maintain a remote desktop environment using Microsoft Windows Server.

Administer Active Directory and perform routine server maintenance.

Work with Linux command line environments as needed (approx. 20%).

Interpret, maintain, and eventually modify internal scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for IT automation and system tasks.

Participate in hardware refresh cycles and help set up and install new equipment in the data center.

Collaborate with a team of sys admins, network admins, and mentor a junior systems administrator.

Join the emergency on-call rotation for critical issues (rare).

Must Haves:

3–5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role.

Hands-on experience withVMwareenvironments, including server setup and configuration.

Strong knowledge ofWindows Server (80%)andActive Directory.

Basic understanding ofLinux(20%) and command-line tools.

Familiarity withPowerShell and/or Bash scripting(can read, understand, and eventually modify scripts).

Personable and professional—able to build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.

Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to continuously learn.

Nice to Haves:

Hands-on experience withMicrosoft InTune, especially in policy creation.

Experience with file servers and file-level permissions/security.

Experience withPython scriptingor more advanced PowerShell automation.

IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, etc.)—a strong sign of professional growth and motivation.
