Job Description:

We are seeking aseasoned IBM Mainframe Developerwith deep expertise inIMS DB, COBOL, DB2, and related technologies to join our team on-site inEdison, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mainframe development, hands-on experience withIMS and DB2 databases, and familiarity with various mainframe utilities and tools. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical applications supporting enterprise-scale operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance applications for IBM Mainframe environments.

Write efficient, modular, and maintainable code usingCOBOL,JCL, and other mainframe languages.

Work withIMS DBandDB2for data storage, retrieval, and performance tuning.

Perform technical troubleshooting across mainframe components, addressing production issues proactively.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement analysis, system design, and testing.

Develop and consumeCICS Web ServicesandREST APIswhere required.

Utilize and automate processes using mainframe utilities such asFile-AID, Expeditor, DFSORT, IDCAMS, REXX, and SAS.

Support integration and migration initiatives involvingcloud technologies(Azure or AWS exposure is a plus).

Participate in code reviews, documentation, and compliance with secure coding standards.

Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years of experience in IBM Mainframe application development.

Strong expertise inCOBOL,IMS DB/DC,DB2,CICS, andJCL.

Proficient in usingmainframe tools/utilities: File-AID, Expeditor, DFSORT, SYNCSORT, REXX, SAS.

Hands-on experience with debugging, performance tuning, and job scheduling tools.

Exposure toCICS web services,REST APIs, and modern integration patterns.

Working knowledge ofUnix Shell Scripting,Java, orPythonis a plus.

Familiarity withDevOps practicesandversion control systems(e.g., Endevor, Git).

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working inBanking, Insurance, or Financial Servicesdomain.

Experience withAgile/Scrum methodologies.

Exposure tocloud integrationwith mainframe systems (AWS/Azure)
