Estimated Conversion Salary:$110,000 – $130,000

Compensation:$55–$67/hr. (Based on experience)

Capstone IT is partnering with our client, a leader in the insurance and financial services industry, to hire a Full Stack Software Engineer to support a large-scale digital modernization initiative within their Group Insurance division. This is a 6–12 month remote W-2 contract-to-hire opportunity with the opportunity to convert to full-time employment. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying modern, cloud-native applications and integration services within a fast-paced Agile environment.

In this role, you'll work across the full stack to modernize legacy systems and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that support seamless integration between internal platforms and external third-party benefit administrators. You'll contribute to a suite of mission-critical applications using React (JavaScript/TypeScript) for front-end development, Java and Spring Boot for backend microservices, and Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture. Applications are deployed to AWS, leveraging services such as Fargate, MSK, and Lambda. You'll also operate within a DevOps environment that includes Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines, with exposure to MuleSoft and MongoDB as part of the broader integration ecosystem. Build front-end applications using React

Develop Spring Boot microservices and integrate with internal/external systems

Qualifications

5+ years of full stack software development experience

Advanced skills inReact,Java,Spring Boot

Strong hands-on experience withAWS(esp.MSK,Fargate)

Experience developingREST APIsand microservice architectures

Agile experience using tools likeJIRAandConfluence

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

Comfortable with occasional travel toOmaha, NE

Preferred:

Experience with MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform, API-led integrations)

Familiarity with MongoDB

AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, or Solutions Architect Associate).
