Title: Youth Development Program Management Director Reports to: Executive Director or Operations Director of School Age ProgramsFLSA: Exempt Leader Level: Team Leader Salary Range: $32,500 to 33,500 annuallySupervises: Youth Development Director and VolunteersrnPosition Summary rnThis position is responsible for supporting the general administration of School Age Programs for before and after school care at selected school sites.

This position leads the training and orientation of all School Age Program Staff in the Region by serving at training sites.

Responsibilities also include the day-to-day general administration of a program including the safety of all children, staff supervision, budgeting, expense control.

The Youth Development Program Management Director also provides direction and leadership for the achievement of Association goals in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the Board.rnCore and Strategic FunctionsrnHigh Quality Programs, Services and FacilitiesrnrnrnrnDirect and administer total operation of the School Age Program sites assigned including the interpretation and execution of established policies, the development of procedures and methods, staffing, evaluation of the effectiveness of the programs and operationrnAssure that a wide variety of programs and activities are provided that maximize the site, support the cause and enhance program participants.rnCreate a nurturing and safe environment by reporting suspicious activity that may lead to child abuse or may violate the code of conduct.

Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment by keeping supplies organized, maintain and clean facility and care for equipment.rnPromote and monitor membership and/or program growth, taking a leadership role in membership cultivation and retentionrnAssure facilitated activities are safe, engaging and age appropriate for program participantsrnResponsible for reviewing all records and data on each child, employee and volunteer to maintain accuracyrnResponsible for effectively handling all emergency incidents and submitting proper documentation that may occur in YMCA programs, using mature, sound judgmentStaff and Volunteer ManagementrnRecruit, hire, supervise and develop department staff and volunteers through use of Leadership Competency Model resources that create a culture of cause-driven leadersrnLead and/or participate in a branch related committee(s)rnSupport Y Community Champions effortsrnAssist with training all staff to include awareness and understanding of YMCA programs, services, and customer service skills.FinancernPreparing annual site budget for approval by the Executive Directorrn Recommend adjustments and administer the budget, exercising necessary expense controls and revenue productionrnProviding monthly variance reports to Executive DirectorrnResponsible for managing collection of fees weekly and reporting weekly balances to Executive DirectorCommunity DevelopmentrnRepresent and promote the YMCA in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.

B.S.

or B.A.

degree preferred in related field.

At least two years of childcare and supervisory/leadership experience required.

YMCA experience preferred.

Must have a FCCPC and Florida Credential or be willing to enroll within 90 days of employment and completed within 1 year of enrollment.

CPR/AED and First Aid Certification within 90 days of employment and be at least 21 years of age or older.

Must possess skills to operate standard office and computer equipment and have the ability to relate to diverse groups from all social economic segments of community is essential.

Must be capable of working under pressure as well as organizing and planning efficiently.

Must be mentally alert, able to process and follow directions and remain friendly and professional at all times.

Must be able to observe and communicate with children, parents, staff and volunteers.

Must meet YMCA of the Suncoast driving criteria.

Must be ale to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
