Electrical Design Engineer

Our client in Southern RI is seeking a full time Direct Hire Senior Electrical Design Engineer. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to: full product lifecycle from conception to delivery; leading development of requirements; product design documentation; presentation of key milestones; offering improvements for development design cycles; cross functional collaboration to include Manufacturing, Reliability, and Test; and leadership and mentoring of others. Products will include areas such as power systems, lighting, motor drives, sensors, controls, automation, IoT, and RF.

To be considered, you must have:

7+ years of recent hands on electrical engineering product design experience

BSEE or MSEE degree

At least 3+ years of leadership and project management experience ensuring high quality completion of electrical engineering design projects

Experience with Project estimation, scoping, timelines, and cost

Solid verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Experience with analog circuit board design and DC to DC

Understanding of electrical component behaviors and performance

Embedded systems experience

Experience with electrical standards, EMC, and compliance

Experience with any of the following and / or an aptitude to learn new tools, such as: IoT, Eagle, MatLab, plusOne, OrCAD, Altium, Mentor, Multisim, LTSpice

Willingness and ability to be onsite daily and perform occasional travel 1 - 2 times / year
