This Sr Consultant, Program and Change Enablement (Middle Market Change Enablement Leader) will be part of the Middle Market Ops and Transformation Team. The role will be hands on for two of Middle Market's largest programs (Future State of Underwriting and Policy Center) and will be consultative to all change initiatives across Middle Market. The person in this role can work remotely or in a hybrid environment if near an office. Must be able to work core hours of stakeholders.

Preferred skills and experience include:

Strong knowledge of middle market commercial lines underwriting and underwriting process is required

Proven ability to act as a change agent, distilling complex information and communicating it effectively to diverse audiences

Skilled in stakeholder analysis, with the ability to identify, assess, and engage key stakeholders

Experienced in evaluating and coaching on messaging, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

Adept at understanding audience needs and anticipating the impact of change on various groups

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences

As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead design, planning and implementation of change strategies across the enterprise. This work includes implementation of the largest, most critical projects. You'll focus on application of emerging industry trends in portfolio management, program management and change management to drive business results.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and manages deployment of change strategies. Builds enterprise program and change management methods, governance, frameworks, tools and learning modules to evolve the enterprise change portfolio management capability.

Drives implementation of change enablement plans. Ensures successful completion of multiple simultaneous projects that cut across channels, businesses and companies.

Consults with leaders from multiple business units, most heavily impacted by change, to ensure successful completion of business capability improvement programs.

Partners with executives and program leaders to secure strong sponsorship and key constituent support to drive the change strategy.

Proactively builds and participates in program and change enablement networks to encourage capability uplift and proliferation of program and change competency and community.

Ensures knowledge development in program and business unit leaders, including working knowledge and pragmatic application of program and change management methods and tools to deliver program results and achieve business unit objectives.

Coordinates budget development; submits budget to leadership for approval; adjusts spending and resource allocation as new challenges arise.

Helps and coaches the internal staff, provides functional advice or training to less experienced team members and facilitates planning activities.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to AVP or VP and may have small team of direct reports.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in business, applied management or related field; related graduate studies preferred.

License/Designation/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) or similar certification a plus.

Experience: Ten years of related experience, preferably in an insurance or financial services environment.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills and Ability: Proven knowledge of planning, program/project management, organizational development and process management. Strong ability to consult with program leaders and personally lead program teams including developing plans, objectives and resource requirements within budgetary limitations. Advanced negotiation and group facilitation skills. Ability to evaluate and apply problem-solving methodology including needs assessment, data acquisition and root cause analysis and interpretive/strategic planning analysis. Strong interpersonal skills for contact with all levels of company personnel.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Vice President and Human Resources.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel. Non-standard or extended work may be required, based on project needs.

The national salary range for Sr Consultant, Program & Change Enablement : $110,000.00-$212,000.00

The expected starting salary range for Sr Consultant, Program & Change Enablement : $119,000.00 - $179,000.00
