As a Cytotechnologist in the Lab Anatomic Pathology Department you will work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals dedicated to our mission “To provide exceptional care, without exception, every patient, every time.” Valleywise Medical Center is a Level One Trauma Center which opened in 2024.

Hourly Pay Rate: $48.00

This is POOL position

Qualifications

Education:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology or in a related science field, with a Cytotechnology certification from a 12-month AMA accredited Cytotechnology program.

Experience:

Prior experience performing cytological specimens is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Requires certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Requires excellent time management skills and customer service skills.

Must possess basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Analytical skills are strongly preferred.
