Position Description
The Web and Digital Content Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the College Fund’s digital storytelling, website updates, and engagement platforms, especially Gather, our digital community space. This role works closely with the Website Manager and partners across the organization including Public Education, Faculty Development, Research, Programs, and Resource Development to ensure our digital presence uplifts the voices, values, and strengths of Native communities and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs).
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and grounded in Indigenous values and who sees the web as a tool for storytelling, advocacy, and community-building. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who values collaboration, takes initiative, manages priorities independently, and brings care and consistency to digital storytelling and operations. The role supports timely content publishing, builds internal capacity, and strengthens relationships with TCU partners and Native-serving organizations through our digital platforms.
We strongly prefer applicants who have experience at a TCU, especially those who have attended, worked at, or collaborated with a TCU and currently live on or near Tribal lands. This experience supports the authenticity, cultural fluency, and trust-based digital relationships of this work.
Essential Job Functions
Support ticket management for web content (blogs, program pages, press releases, multimedia), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with organizational values and Native-led narratives in collaboration with web vendors and internal teams
Support user engagement and moderation on Gather, with a focus on growing meaningful, trust-based interactions in TCU-related groups
Keep internal platforms such as SharePoint and internal Gather groups updated to support cross-team collaboration and content sharing
Collaborate with Faculty Development, Research, Programs, and Public Education teams to identify and elevate stories rooted in Native educational contexts and community priorities
Help source, vet, and refine community-led stories by building and nurturing strategic relationships with TCU communications staff, student ambassadors, and faculty
Coordinate with AIHEC and TCUs to maintain accurate data and representation on the College Fund’s TCU website map
Serve as a bridge between digital operations and Indigenous community knowledge, ensuring our platforms reflect Native voices, self-determination, and lived experience
This role is not responsible for original content creation but will coordinate and prepare content for digital publication, ensuring quality, accessibility, and alignment with brand and narrative goals
