Seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager to join our team in supporting a dynamic and growing IT environment of over 300 users. This hands-on technical leadership role is responsible for managing IT infrastructure, managing software vendor relationships, ensuring cybersecurity best practices, and exploring AI and API integration solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with both our internal IT team and external IT consultants to drive innovation, stability, security and operational excellence. This position offers a balanced mix of strategic oversight and day-to-day systems management, with potential for flexible hours and hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of IT systems, including contract negotiations, renewals, vendor management, and invoice tracking

Help standardize and maintain IT policies, procedures, and processes across departments

Oversee infrastructure operations for cloud-based servers and critical applications, including installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and patching

Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of all IT data and systems

Support and enforce cybersecurity policies, controls and incident response procedures

Evaluate, recommend, and implement software integration and automation solutions

Help or lead strategic software projects from planning through execution

Contribute to Help desk operations and maintain a high level of end-user support

Collaborate closely with our dynamic IT team and external IT consultants

Report directly to the IT Director

Qualifications & Requirements

5+ years of experience in IT management or systems administration

Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Intune, Microsoft 365, SQL, iOS, Barracuda (or equivalent platforms)

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience with IT procurement, asset tracking and and vendor management

Familiarity with Citrix environments a plus

Experience in cybersecurity practice and risk management preferred

Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus

Must be able to work onsite at our Richmond, CA office
