Position: Linux System Admin

Location: 2 days Onsite in Camden, NJ

Duration: 12+ Months

KEY SKILLS TO GET INTERVIEW:

Look for someone with Ansible skills. Mid level Linux Admin.

Role is broken up into two main responsibilities:

Support and working through ticketing queue for instance: Handle low hanging fruit issues – heavy troubleshooting, User account provisioning, File system creation, Basic Admin, Provisioning storage, Creating logic volumes, Modify SueDoers ? or certain permissions by application teams, Troubleshooting and performance (Like TCP Dumps)

Using Ansible playbooks – scripting effort to find better ways to do tasks - one thing they did was adding and deleting users to systems using ansible setup a job in ansible and automatically logs into all systems and logs the account.

PROJECTS/SELL:

No real big projects coming down the line.

Stay current and modern with the technology. Will refine their Ansible skills. Flex Schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Linux System Administrator

Desired Skills and Abilities (what employee must know & do to perform this job – e.g., communicate with all levels of employees in organization, balance multiple priorities, etc.)

Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (e.g., RHEL, OEL).

3–5 years of experience in Linux system administration

Capable of working independently, a self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements.

Possesses technical skills & experience to participate in the development and maintenance of business systems using a systems methodology.

Able to work in ServiceNow ticketing system to expedite tickets

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management and deployment automation.

Proficiency with Ansible for automation and orchestration

Experience with some core Infrastructure application support (i.e. middleware, file transfer, batch scheduler, etc.)

Experience in troubleshooting system performance issues.

Experience in ESX and possibly Oracle VM.

OS patching and hardening experience

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
