Application Developer

FirstFour Group, the Gulf Coast's premier source for specialized information technology recruitment, is seeking an Application Developer on behalf of our Mobile-based client. The scope of the role is broad, with a mix of software development, network administration, front-end integration, as well as backend database accountabilities

The Developer is responsible for collaborating with users and business partners to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop effective software solutions. This includes all aspects of the development and implementation process. This includes support and maintenance of existing systems (both software and hardware) and contributions to new technical solutions.

This is an onsite role located in Mobile, AL. Our client will not entertain relocation, remote/hybrid scheduling, or any type of visa assistance.

Accountabilities:

Collaborate with both users and business partners to develop effective software solutions.

Design, Develop, and Maintain efficient, user-friendly applications using front-end and back-end technologies.

Heavy work with databases, APIs, and other third-party integration tools.

Create and modify custom reports and dashboards.

Write maintainable and efficient code following best practices.

Test troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software and hardware.

Assist other IT team members and end users with ad hoc projects

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES and EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar degree preferred.

Greater than 4 years’ relevant work experience

In-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies.

Efficient troubleshooting, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Proficiency with Visual Studio coding with C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET

Experience with API Development and EDI integrations is a huge plus.
