At HTI, the Inside Sales Representative plays a critical sales role within our Sales team for the Professional & Skilled Trades (PRO) group, directly responsible for identifying, pursuing, and qualifying new business opportunities. This is not an admin or support role—as the Inside Sales Representative, you are a quota-carrying sales rep assigned to one of our most in-demand product lines.

Using HTI’s Sales Strategy & Process—you’ll take full ownership of prospecting, outbound outreach, and pipeline development for clients hiring salaried professionals and skilled trades talent. You’ll build strong relationships, position HTI’s solutions, and convert cold leads into warm opportunities for our recruiting and client teams.

The Insides Sales Representative is a high-energy role requiring tenacity, discipline, and strong communication skills. You must be driven, resilient, and unafraid of high-volume outreach and rejection. WHAT YOU’LL DO

The 4 P’s IN ACTION

Plan

Build and refine target lists weekly based on industry activity, hiring trends, and geographic markets.

Proactively source leads by monitoring job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, company sites, state postings, etc.) to identify companies hiring for skilled trade or professional roles.

Prepare

Research each prospect’s business, roles posted, and likely pain points.

Customize outreach scripts and pitch language using HTI data, market insights, and case studies.

Practice

Participate in weekly call coaching, objection-handling drills, and messaging reviews.

Track your outreach stats and refine based on what’s working.

Play

Execute 50-100 outbound touchpoints daily via phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn InMails.

Schedule and qualify discovery meetings with decision makers.

Maintain detailed, real-time activity tracking and notes in our CRM—no skipped steps.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Prospecting & Business Development

Own the top of the funnel for HTI’s PRO group, generating qualified leads and booking intro calls for recruiters or Account Executives.

Build relationships with HR leaders, hiring managers, and plant leadership across industrial and manufacturing clients.

Position HTI’s value prop clearly and confidently in competitive markets.

CRM & Sales Process Execution

Log every activity, outcome, and follow-up in our CRM—this is non-negotiable for success.

Use data and feedback to adjust your approach, segment prospects, and focus on high-return industries or territories.

Marketing & Campaign Alignment

Partner with marketing to execute campaigns, share field insights, and support lead-nurturing content like email blasts, webinars, and case studies.

Help write candidate marketing blurbs or job spotlights for high-impact outreach.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL: Primarily office-based with occasional local or regional travel for job fairs, client meetings, or on-site collaboration.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Bachelor’s degree

You are a hunter—not afraid to cold call, cold email, and push through rejection to get results

1+ year in sales, recruiting, staffing, or other outbound-heavy B2B roles preferred

Strong communication skills: you can write, speak, and adapt to different audiences

Organized and tech-savvy: HubSpot or other CRM experience preferred

Willingness to travel locally for prospect meetings, networking, or events as well as to HTI corporate office

Experience in staffing, recruiting, or business-to-business sales a plus

Familiarity with manufacturing, skilled trades, or industrial talent pipelines a major plus
