A large enterprise IT organization is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its dynamic network engineering team. This role involves supporting and monitoring a complex, multi-vendor network environment, collaborating across IT and business units, and helping to drive the adoption of emerging technologies that improve uptime and performance across both local and wide area networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Support, monitor, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability
Administer and enhance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Cisco ACI, AKiPS, InMon, and similar)
Contribute to technology planning and innovation
Provide mentorship to team members
Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation (one week at a time)
Travel locally to support off-site locations as needed
Ideal Background:
Strong hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Arista, Aruba, Brocade, Cisco, Juniper, Meraki
Minimum 8–14 years IT/network experience, depending on educational background
Comfortable working in a large-scale networked environment
Good understanding of OSI Layers 1–4 and TCP/IP routed environments (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN)
Proficient in troubleshooting with desktop and server operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS)
Preferred Certifications & Tools:
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP
Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Cisco ACI, Meraki Dashboard, Nagios, InMon)
Familiarity with tools such as network sniffers, wire scanners, and cable testers
Proficiency in MS Office and Visio
