Position: Ab Initio Developer

Location: Irving TX

Ab Initio is a popular data integration tool that is used to extract, transform, and load (ETL) large amounts of data. An Ab Initio Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ETL solutions using the Ab Initio tool. The job description for an Ab Initio Developer may include:

Design and develop ETL solutions using Ab Initio toolset.

Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements for data integration solutions.

Develop and maintain data integration workflows, data mappings, and data quality rules.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ETL processes.

Optimize ETL processes for improved performance and scalability.

Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and data quality rules.

Work with project teams to ensure that ETL solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in ETL technology and recommend improvements to existing processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

10+ year of BI development experience is must.

Proficiency in Ab Initio toolset, including GDE, Co>Operating System, and EME.

Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and data integration best practices.

Experience in SQL and data warehousing.

Familiarity with Linux operating system and shell scripting.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
