We are collaborating with a retail organization to identify a talented Data Architect. This role is critical for designing and deploying cutting-edge IT solutions tailored to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will utilize their extensive background in IT management and architectural design to improve operational effectiveness, ensuring that technological infrastructures align with organizational strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Directs solution lifecycle decisions such as upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning based on business impact, usability, and total cost of ownership.
Designs and implements solutions that minimize reactive maintenance and support.
Collaborates with business and technology subject matter experts to develop end-to-end data solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Builds strong relationships with business leaders to ensure alignment between IT and operational needs.
Models solution architectures from conceptual, logical, and physical perspectives.
Develops architectural artifacts including context diagrams, data domain models, and deployment views.
Facilitates refinement of technical and service-level requirements.
Works closely with IT teams to communicate architectural direction and integrate feedback.
Participates in design reviews to ensure alignment with the defined architecture.
Contributes to the evolution of enterprise architecture standards based on practical application.
Clearly communicates the rationale behind architectural decisions.
Partners with stakeholders to ensure both immediate and future business requirements are supported.
Requirements
Experience in data integration methodologies and tools, particularly in cloud and hybrid settings.
Understanding of networks and security as it relates to integration and data flow between systems
Experience in designing solutions in cloud and hybrid cloud environments
Knowledge of IT architectural frameworks, including TOGAF and Zachman.
Familiarity with retail supply chain systems, particularly enterprise-level implementations.
Expertise in service-oriented architecture and microservices.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
Self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication abilities to effectively lead discussions at various organizational levels.
