Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst III with advanced skills in Python, R, and SQL to support data-driven decision-making in a complex supply chain environment. This role will focus on sourcing, costing, vendor performance, and demand planning analytics. You will aggregate, clean, and analyze data from multiple systems, identify trends, develop models, and deliver actionable insights to improve operational and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Aggregate and analyze supply chain data from disparate sources (vendors, procurement, costing, forecasting, ERP systems).
Build and maintain complex SQL queries, Python scripts, and R models for statistical analysis, forecasting, and optimization.
Develop and apply algorithms or statistical models to solve business problems related to sourcing strategies, demand variability, and cost efficiency.
Perform root cause analysis and scenario modeling to support decision-making in vendor management, costing structures, and inventory planning.
Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sourcing, finance, operations, IT) to gather requirements and deliver high-impact analytical solutions.
Present key findings to stakeholders and senior leadership in a clear and actionable format.
Ensure data quality, governance, and standardization across data sets related to procurement, costing, and demand planning.
Contribute to the prioritization and execution of analytics projects that align with organizational goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong programming experience in Python and/or R for statistical modeling and automation.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Experience working with supply chain-related datasets (e.g., vendors, cost sheets, bill of materials, purchase orders, forecasts).
Proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to share findings with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Supply Chain, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Experience supporting digital supply chain initiatives such as demand planning, inventory optimization, and sourcing analytics.
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS) is a plus.
