Our Challenge:

Synechron is seeking multiple Mobile Application Developers to Design, Develop Prototype Android / iOS customer application for phone and tablets for internal and external use. A senior Android / iOS developer who has expertise in Android / iOS native test automation solutions using Kotlin. Participate in full app life-cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test and release to app store Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes and estimate. Keep up-to-date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms. Drive a best practices approach to the continuous improvement of our products, processes, and tools. Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC/ Plano, TX/ Kennesaw, GA/ Boston, MA is $100K-$110K /year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Design, develop, and prototype native Android and iOS applications optimized for phones and tablets, catering to both internal and external users.

Collaborate with product teams to translate ideas, wireframes, and mockups into functional mobile applications.

Full App Lifecycle Management:

Participate in all phases of the app development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and release.

Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of application updates and features.

Platform-Specific Implementation:

Build and maintain applications using relevant technologies such as Kotlin (Android), Swift, Objective-C, and Swift UI (iOS).

Utilize tools like XCode for iOS development and ensure compatibility across devices.

Automation and Testing:

Implement and maintain test automation solutions for Android and iOS platforms to ensure application quality.

Write unit tests and integrate continuous testing frameworks to facilitate smooth releases.

Code Maintenance and Version Control:

Maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented codebases using version control tools like Git and Bitbucket.

Regularly update and optimize application code, libraries, and dependencies.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define app features and specifications.

Maintain clear documentation of features, architecture, and code changes.

Quality Assurance and Performance Optimization:

Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and performance issues to improve app stability and responsiveness.

Conduct thorough testing to meet performance and quality standards before deployment.

Platform Features and Integration:

Integrate device-specific features such as biometrics, push notifications, Camera APIs, and other hardware functionalities.

Incorporate and consume web services, REST APIs, and other backend integrations.

Deployment and Publishing:

Prepare applications for release by adhering to App Store and Play Store guidelines.

Publish applications and handle subsequent updates, monitoring app performance and reviews.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:

Stay current with the latest platform updates, features, and industry best practices.

Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and product features.

Documentation and Support:

Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for application features, APIs, and automation frameworks.

Provide ongoing support for released applications, including troubleshooting, updates, and maintenance.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in computer science or software engineering.

Typically requires 7+ years of Mobile Application development experience.

Designing and building native mobile applications on Android or iOS platform.

Designing and implementing application updates.

Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, Swift UI.

Extensive knowledge of XCode

Must have development experience in Core Java Knowledge of C-based libraries.

Proficient in Kotlin, Objective-C, Web Services, Rest Services, Core Java, CSS, HTML, Java Script, XML

Must have good experince with Mobile Automation frameworks

Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.

Knowledge of C-based libraries.

Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, usage of Camera API s, etc.

Collaborating with the design team to define app features.

Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications.

Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.

Fixing application bugs before the final release.

Publishing application on App Store.

Maintaining the code and atomization of the application.

Preferred, but not required:

Experience with continuous integration Unit tests.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
