SAS Platform Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified SAS Platform Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact migration project from SAS 9.4 Grid to SAS Viya 4 in a complex, enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of both legacy and modern SAS platforms, and play a key role in architecting, executing, and supporting the migration and modernization of critical analytics infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Lead or support the migration of SAS 9.4 Grid (M7) on RHEL Linux to SAS Viya 4

Assess current SAS environment and design optimal Viya migration strategy

Perform SAS installation, configuration, and integration (both 9.4 and Viya 4)

Set up authentication (LDAP, SAML, SSO) and security controls

Partner with AWS/cloud teams to provision infrastructure and support deployment

Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize platform resources

Collaborate with IT, cloud, and analytics stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition

Qualifications:

5+ years of SAS platform administration experience

Strong hands-on experience with SAS 9.4 Grid (M7) on RHEL Linux

Proven expertise in SAS Viya 4 administration and architecture

Understanding of CAS server configuration and Viya services

Experience with AWS or other cloud-based deployments

Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, shell scripting)

Preferred:

Experience with enterprise SAS 9.4 to Viya migration projects

Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)

SAS Platform Administrator Certification (9.4 and/or Viya)

Exposure to CI/CD or DevOps practices in analytics environments
