Description:

The System Administrator for the Wire Transfer team will work with the larger team to help in the design, development, administration, configuration, and support of the platform, while helping to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in all aspects of administration for Huntington’s wire transfer platform.

Participate in the installation, configuration, and integration of vendor code.

Participate in the identification and resolution of production and platform issues.

Participate in the review of features and user stories for enhancements to the platform.

Collaborate with storage, server, LDAP, database, and other IT administrators to support ongoing operations.

Participate in ensuring the system is positioned for compliance with IT policies, standards, and agreed upon service levels.

Participate in the debugging and resolution of issues found during testing.

Collaborate and work with technical teams interfacing with the platform.

Create and maintain system documentation, manuals, policy documents, etc.

Schedule and facilitate meetings as needed.

Actively communicate with users and team to provide technical support.

Participates in production releases and the team’s on-call rotation as scheduled.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field.

Skills:

Experience with or knowledge of AIX, LINUX or Windows Servers.

Knowledge of or understanding of database design schemas and data modeling.

Experience with SQL and writing queries.

Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles.

Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions.

Ability to translate technology into relatable concepts for business partners and stakeholders.

Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas.

Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

High level of professionalism, confidence, and ability to build credibility with team members and business partners.

Preferred Requirements:

A good understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile/Scrum) and project management processes and standards.

Experience with Java.

Basic experience with network protocols.

Experience with internal and 3rd party data sources.

Experience with or exposure to Agile.
