Senior Manager Infrastructure & Network Operations

$143,856.00 - $185,265.00

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Senior Manager Infrastructure & Network Operations (IT Manager Architect - Network Group).

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent serves as the manager of the OCIO Infrastructure and Network Team, responsible for the management and oversight of the OCIO network and computing/storage environments.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Establishing a robust infrastructure engineering and operations program

Overseeing and managing the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved network and computing technologies

Providing expert guidance and leadership for planning and developing IT infrastructure requirements

Assisting OCFO offices and programs in the planning, integration, and implementation of IT systems; designing, developing, and managing improved infrastructure team operations to meet current and future business requirements

Communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel; and preparing and presenting briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues

Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires a mandatory three-day in-office work schedule, with on-site presence required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays each week.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven (7) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as assisting with or managing IT infrastructure, systems, network, security, database, telecommunications and devices; managing the migration of on-premise applications to web/cloud based infrastructure; developing and executing strategic plans; managing IT projects through the full life cycle process; experience developing statements of work for IT solutions and managing vendor relationships. Two (2) years must include experience supervising or overseeing the work of lower-level staff.
