Software Engineer in Test

Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Engineer (with .Net Tech-Stack)

Location: Montvale, NJ / Short Hills, NJ

Type: Contract W2

Someone who is strong with Automation and has Dev experience.

Responsibilities:

Engage directly with both software engineers as well as program managers to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency

Work to understand application usage models and develop test plans as well as test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios

Drive quality and security by design; work with tax domain experts and engineering staff to design, create, and execute automated tests and recommend enhancements

Recognize software internals, debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline our quality process with shift left approach and quality by design mindset

Stay abreast of industry best practices and set the standards for testing platforms, tools, as well as frameworks

Troubleshoot performance issues; identify and recommend design improvements

Qualifications:

Minimum five years of recent experience hands-on with developing, testing, performance tuning of large-scale systems built with C#, .NET, JavaScript frameworks, SQL Server, scripting languages such as PowerShell,

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or a related field is preferred

Solid experience with Selenium, JMeter, Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) or any other automation and performance testing tools is required

Experience with agile engineering practices and tooling including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), utilizing technologies such as Azure DevOps, Team City, Octopus, GitHub Actions is required

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus
