About
We are working with a team that is building the next generation of intelligent discovery tools for biology. They're reimagining how scientists interact with knowledge, data, and AI to accelerate insights across genomics, disease mechanisms, therapeutics, and beyond. Join them in shaping how foundational models are applied to real-world biomedical questions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with ML engineers, domain scientists, and product teams to build and validate AI models that unlock insights from multi-omics, biomedical literature, and experimental datasets.
Develop and evaluate embeddings, retrieval systems, and generative models for use in scientific knowledge extraction.
Translate complex biomedical questions into tractable data problems.
Prototype novel methods and contribute to internal research efforts on foundation models in biology.
Qualifications
A PhD or MS in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related field — or equivalent experience in applied biomedical research.
Strong Python and data science skills (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
Familiarity with scientific datasets (e.g., GEO, UniProt, PubMed, TCGA, PDB) and domain-specific ontologies (e.g., GO, UMLS, MeSH).
Experience working with large-scale biomedical data: transcriptomics, genomics, proteomics, or clinical.
Bonus: Experience with LLMs, embeddings, or biomedical NLP (e.g., BioBERT, SciSpacy).
