Mid-Level Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer
We are seeking a Mid-Level Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to play a key role in shaping the future of our premier, multi-line, multi-state, unified insurance platform on Guidewire Cloud.
We're looking for a passionate developer with strong technical acumen to help drive digital transformation and deliver industry-leading insurance solutions our customers can trust. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Guidewire Cloud, managing products, building APIs, performing upgrades, and integrating applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop PolicyCenter components, including product model, rating engine, APIs, UI, batch processes, and integrations.
Drive implementation of enhancements, resolve configuration issues and contribute to sprint planning and demos within an Agile development team.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and international consulting partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to established standards, help reduce technical debt, and support code reviews.
Support production Guidewire applications, including on-call responsibilities.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Use Splunk and DataDog (APM) tools to troubleshoot issues and improve application performance.
Research new cloud capabilities and perform upgrades.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment to grow both teammates and self.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience developing in GOSU for PolicyCenter configurations.
Guidewire Cloud Associate Developer certification (or willingness to obtain), with interest in pursuing higher-level certifications such as Certified Specialist or Certified Ace.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment practices ideally in Guidewire Cloud.
Highly motivated, with strong communication skills and both creative and critical thinking abilities.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Strong background in object-oriented programming, with experience in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, XML, SQL, or similar technologies.
Preference given to candidates with working knowledge of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.
