Robert Half is partnering with a small to medium sized company in need of a BI Analyst with experience designing, building, delivering, and maintaining reporting for all areas of the business utilizing Tableau.
Responsibilities:
Developing, maintaining, and managing reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions
Leveraging SQL and other data sources as appropriate
Participate in business and executive meetings to gather requirements and provide reporting solutions and recommendations.
Translate business needs into high-level technical specifications and design in Tableau
Develop understanding of the business processes, data sets and data visualization deliverables
Ability to publishing workbooks to Tableau Online including set up of push reporting (emails) and row level security as required
Supporting report refreshes on the Tableau Online and addressing errors and managing performance concerns
Troubleshooting data issues or discrepancies with existing reports
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, accounting, economics, other related discipline.
5+ years of experience utilizing Power Bi - building and deploying highly complex Visualizations
Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Detail-oriented person who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about new technology.
Ability to analyze, recognize errors and ask effective questions.
Ability to work with large and complex data sets able to write simple queries to create calculated fields.
Familiarity with Tableau or Power- BI best practices, constraints, and limitations
Ability to work directly with business analysts or business sponsors to gather and validate functional requirements and provide the design specifications.
Strong understanding of data extracts, data blending, publishing options
Data systems that includes BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, and data ETL on process automation and standardization.
Experience working in a supportive team environment by documenting, researching, solving problems via phone calls or email ticketing system.
Excellent oral, written skills and listening skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed.
