Glocomms is partnered with a dominating commercial bank out of NYC to bring on a Vice President, Network Security Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the bank's network security infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems and data across on-premise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in core security technologies, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to threat mitigation in a highly regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade security solutions including F5 BIG-IP (APM, LTM, SWG), Checkpoint firewalls, RSA MFA, VPNs, proxies, and IDS/IPS.

Administer and optimize web proxy, logging, and alerting systems to ensure real-time threat detection and response.

Implement and maintain secure networking protocols (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, IPsec).

Lead incident response efforts, vulnerability management, and security posture improvement initiatives.

Enforce encryption standards (PKI, AES, RSA) and security hardening across systems and applications.

Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business units to support secure project delivery and regulatory compliance.

Design and document secure network architectures, project plans, and technical diagrams.

Manage cloud-based security controls (e.g., AWS Security Groups, Azure NSGs) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

Provide mentorship to junior engineers and serve as a subject matter expert in network security.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Minimum 5+ years in network/security engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as financial services.

Strong experience with F5, Checkpoint, RSA, and other enterprise security platforms.

Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform).

Solid understanding of network security principles, common attack vectors, and incident response.

Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS, certificate management, and URL/content filtering.

Familiarity with cloud security and hybrid infrastructure models.

Certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, F5, Checkpoint.

Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
