Job Title: Controls Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:

Custom Glass Solutions is rapidly growing and is seeking a Controls Engineer in our state-of-the-art facility in Fostoria, Ohio. This position is a hands-on position that requires the successful candidate to build strong relationships throughout our manufacturing site. Responsibilities include:

Support and troubleshoot equipment with control systems including PLCs, HMIs and SCADA.

Responsible for programming and designing PLC controls for new equipment.

Improve yields, lower costs, and increase manufacturing uptime by supporting plant.

Determine design requirements, prepare specifications and drawings, procure necessary materials and services, and coordinate installation and maintenance systems for new automation projects.

Provide a communication bridge between engineering and production floor. Desired Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a broad mix of skills and experience with specifying, installing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment with automatic control systems for material handling, defect inspection, robotic placement and process control. Candidates should be eager to work in a fast-paced, team oriented, non-bureaucratic environment and possess the following qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline

5-8 years of work experience within a high speed manufacturing setting

5-8 years of experience with Fanuc Robotics

5-8 years experience supporting, troubleshooting and programming Allen Bradley controls systems

Experience with managing complex projects

Detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills
