Davidson is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to perform model-based systems engineering (MBSE) functional and behavior analysis for the defeat of conventional and advanced Threats (e.g., ballistic, aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures, etc.) systems within the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission area. Participate in a MBSE environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis. Contributes to publishing change notices to MDA's system specification and update of requirements databases, architectural models, interface definitions, and DoDAF 2+ compliant based design packages to document, allocate and trace system and Element level requirements. The candidate will document analysis results in reports and briefings for review by the System Concepts and Requirements (SC&R) leadership team.
Job Requirements:
Degree in an engineering classification, mathematics or physics: Bachelor's (4+ years of experience), Master's or PhD (2+ years of experience)
Individual must possess experience working in a multidisciplinary Systems Engineering team
Must possess experience supporting a DoD or commercial program
Must demonstrate the ability to think critically and effectively convey concepts in presentations and discussions
The successful candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills
Must be capable of working both independently and within a small team environment
This position requires experience using MBSE tools Desired Competencies:
Expanded use of one or more of the following common MBSE tools: System Architect, Rational Rhapsody, MSOSA/CAMEO, DOORS, etc.
Systems Architecture Modeling through the use of MBSE a plus
Systems engineering experience in one-or-more of BMD systems or capabilities similar to: EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control (i.e., C2BMC) strongly desired Clearance:
Must possess a DoD Secret Clearance & be a U.S. Citizen
