Provide hardware repair support for all district computer hardware, printer and audio/visual (AV) equipment either remotely, by phone, site visits or shop repair, using documented computer service procedures and standards. Install new technology and train users as needed. Must be proficient in laser printer repair, laptop, mobile devices and desktop computer repair, and AV equipment setup and repair. Support off-site meetings for administrators and staff when AV equipment setup is required. Strong customer service skills a must. Must meet all qualifications as listed below.

Responsibilities
Provide hardware support and repair for all district users on personal computers, laptops, laser/inkjet printers, audio visual equipment and peripheral equipment at Spokane Public School (SPS) sites, and in the ITSC repair shop.
Determine the cause of hardware problems through evaluation and testing using service manuals, software diagnostics, and other hardware troubleshooting tools, and then provide timely resolution or repair of diagnosed problem.
Manage and maintain accurate documentation on service repairs in ticketing system, to include software and hardware problems, detailed resolutions, and inventory for parts/supplies.
Install new computer systems and printers, when purchased, including upgrades to existing systems.
Collaborate on technology solutions with other employees in Technology Services as well as other district departments.
Work in a team environment with other hardware technicians to help support district equipment, and ensure minimal down time and greatest student and staff productivity.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Two or more years of college or trade school education in areas such as computer service, electronic design/service, or other related fields. Equivalent work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
A+ certification.
Two or more years of recent experience directly performing hardware repairs on desktop and laptop computers.
Two or more years of recent experience directly performing hardware repairs on laser printers.
Two or more years of recent experience setting up and installing AV equipment.
Experience working directly supporting users.
Experience with operating systems as needed in repairing hardware problems on those systems.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Access to personal transportation and possess a valid Washington driver's license.
Ability to work hours other than 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Demonstrated ability to:
Communicate effectively both written and orally.
Coordinate effectively with all levels of users.
Support staff on the repair and use of desktop computers, laptops, laser printers and AV equipment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks as assigned.
Relate positively to youth and adults of varying socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
Experience in local area and wide area networks.
Experience with Windows, Android and IOS.
Desired:
Four or more years of experience directly performing hardware repairs in a large network environment.
Printer repair certification with HP and Lexmark laser printers.
Laptop and desktop repair certification with Lenovo technology.
School district experience.
Experience with Active Directory in a Windows Operating environment.
Experience in Microsoft Office Products.

Work Schedule – Days and hours (listed above) are subject to change depending on program and district needs.
