Data Center Operations Engineer

Brooksource is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to join our client's world-class infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage on-site shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety and operational procedures.

Monitor and report on facility performance metrics and benchmarks.

Operate and maintain critical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, cooling towers, and more.

Collaborate with IT and business leaders to manage capacity and optimize facility performance.

Support emergency response efforts and routine maintenance activities.

Assist in the design and build-out of new data center facilities.

Contribute to projects aimed at improving facility efficiency.

Manage inventory and assets.

Participate in recruiting and onboarding efforts.

Deliver exceptional service and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree.

0-2 years of relevant work experience.

0-2 years of management or supervisory experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
