Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager in Columbus, Ohio
Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day oversight and observation of trade construction work during construction
Assists in coordinating daily activities with the Owner and will monitor the staffing and equipment on site
Develop and coordinate Owner-furnished equipment and schedules in conjunction with the Contractor’s work and schedule
Prepares daily reports documenting the weather conditions, resources assigned, and work completed, etc. for all construction activities
Prepares first install observation reports, assists the team in resolving field issues, coordinates with contractor’s quality inspections and material testing
Assist construction project managers to estimate and adhere to proper budgets, monitor project schedules, and communicate project updates
Oversee construction contract administration processes to ensure that the contract document requirements are met throughout construction
Assist project team with review of contractor pay applications and change orders for accuracy and completeness
Facilitate effective communication among project team members, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to convey project expectations, updates, and changes
Maintain high-quality construction standards by conducting regular observations, ensuring adherence to specifications and building codes
Maintain accurate project documentation, including project reports, change orders, as-builts and progress reports
Ensure that all necessary permits and regulatory requirements are obtained and adhered to during the construction process.
Assists in preparing the final punch list and project closeout
Qualifications
10 years of construction experience desired (experience in vertical or building construction is preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), is preferred, although candidates with extensive construction field experience without a 4-year degree will also be considered
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills
