Service Technician – Model Tobacco Richmond, VA

Hourly Rate: $25/hr (based on experience and certifications) + Phone Allowance + Bonus Potential

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Model Tobacco, a premier residential property in Richmond, VA, is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate is experienced in residential maintenance, customer-focused, and thrives working both independently and as part of a team.

At WPM Real Estate Management, our Service Technicians play a vital role in ensuring our communities remain safe, functional, and welcoming. In this position, you’ll be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

Responding to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

Performing preventative maintenance as directed

Preparing units for new residents (turns/make-readies)

Completing general maintenance tasks and repairs

Handling basic appliance repairs

Keeping property grounds clean, orderly, and safe

Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies

What We’re Looking For:

Strong customer service and communication skills

Proven skills in general maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

High attention to detail and commitment to safety

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

3–5 years of experience in residential or commercial maintenance

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Availability for on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
