Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
Responsible for CNC shape cutting parts of aerospace work stands and tooling through machining practices and procedures. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, machining products using standard shop procedures, mechanical drawings, and other instructions. You will perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
Set up fixturing and precision measuring equipment to produce an acceptable first piece.
Prepare tooling, fixturing, gauges, materials, and paperwork.
Complete all necessary documentation per company policy for first piece approval.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized machinery and work area.
Assist in other areas to meet production needs.
Comply with all PPE and machine guarding requirements for each job.
Perform sharpening tasks, offsets, and adjustments based on tool wear.
Measure and check parts for quality.
Minimize waste and scrap, efficiently use labor, and account for all parts on jobs.
Improve product throughput via additional operations such as multiple machine operation, de-burring, and cleaning.
Program machine, fixturing, material, and paperwork preparation.
Set-up and proof CNC machines for runs to achieve a first-piece quality product.
Monitor set-up times and run-times for accuracy and provide necessary changes.
Monitor condition of job-specific tooling or holding fixtures, making changes as needed.
Suggest and implement improvements to the machining process.
Responsible for writing, creating, and testing CNC programs.
Ensure the produced CNC programs are optimized.
Perform adjustments to adhere to established specifications or revisions.Essential Skills
Production and machine operation experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience with mill and machining operations.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
