Under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean of Admission, the Associate\/Director of Admission has significant responsibility for several areas of JD Admissions, including collaborative development and implementation of programmatic marketing\/recruitment strategies in the Office of Admission.

The position has a professional level of expertise in all areas of evaluation for JD program.

This experience is obtained through increased duties and responsibilities in the position, training in specialized areas, utilizing established department guidelines and deadlines to independently complete tasks.

Associate\/Director title to be determined based on experience.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Recruitment\/Marketing: Assists in creating and communicating marketing messages for JD Program.

Coordinates, develops copy and oversees assigned departmental print and electronic publications.

Maintains communication with future students via letters, emails, social media, text messaging, and telephone calls to encourage students to visit, apply and\/or enroll in the law school.

Serves as the manager and content creator of the Capital Law School Instagram account.

Engages in recruitment travel to represent the law school at various events throughout the local area, region, and country.

Travel will be significant, particularly in the fall.

Manages the Student Ambassador Program and coordinates student tours.

Participates in senior administrative staff meetings and long-range planning and assists with the development of strategy to attain enrollment goals.

* Future Student Counseling: Counsels and guides prospective students (via personal meetings, telephone, text messages, social media, and email) in the law school admission process.

Counsels students regarding personal issues or problems and identifies issues or inconsistencies and takes appropriate steps to resolve concerns.

* Assessment and Conversion of Applicant Files: Collects and reviews applicant materials, assesses academic potential, and makes admission and financial aid decisions based on law school guidelines and policies.

Interprets admission guidelines, conducts independent and unsupervised evaluation and assessment, and provides admission counseling for prospective students and applicants.

Manages yield activities including letters, postcards, emails, text messages, and telephone calls that result in enrollment of students.

Manages intake of final transcripts and necessary materials for enrollment of incoming students.

Completes data-driven projects in relation to applicant files.

* E-marketing: Creates, maintains and communicates targeted e-marketing messages through various platforms including web pages, social media, targeted email messages (utilizing programs Slate and Unite). Researches and compiles admission and financial aid information for reporting, e-marketing, and other departmental needs through LSAC's Unite system.

* Future and Admitted Student Events: Serves as major support in planning, organizing, and executing future and admitted student events for JD Program.

Assists in marketing events through mailings, e-blasts, text messages, phone calls, and social media.

Develops and manages vendor relationships.

* Attends Office and University Meetings: Participates in professional development opportunities such as conferences, workshops, retreats, meetings, or on behalf of the law school.

Establishes and maintains communication with current students, faculty, and administrative staff from other departments within the law school, university, and external constituencies to promote cooperation, efficiency and effectiveness in meeting department objectives and goals.

* Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises student workers in the Admission Department of the Law School.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the university's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training work study students; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining student workers; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; master's degree or JD preferred.

* Experience with higher education and enrollment is preferred, ideally at the law school or graduate school level.

* Current motor vehicle license required.

A valid U.S.

passport is recommended.

* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent skills in Microsoft Office, the ability to learn Colleague, LSAC's Unite program, social media management systems, and additional e-marketing programs and systems.
