Shipping Associate Lenexa KS Contract -2nd Shift Hours are M-F 3pm to 1130pm (30 minute "lunch") Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00/Hr.

Job Summary: Shipping Associate The Shipping Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, packaging, and shipment of goods.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a solid understanding of various shipping carrier procedures.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Shipping Associate • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pack and label outgoing shipments according to customer orders and company standards.
* Carrier Management: Prepare shipments using various shipping software and platforms, including FedEx, UPS, and DHL, ensuring compliance with each carrier's specific requirements (e.g., dimensions, weight, labeling). * Documentation: Generate and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including packing lists, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and export declarations.
* Hazardous Materials: (Preferred) Properly prepare, label, and document hazardous material shipments in compliance with IATA, DOT, and other relevant regulations.
* Quality Control: Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies, ensuring products meet quality standards before shipment.
* Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations within the warehouse environment.
* Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies or issues, escalating complex problems to the Shipping Manager as needed.
* Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other warehouse team members, customer service, and sales departments to ensure smooth operations.
Preferred Skills: Shipping Associate • Experience with hazardous material shipping regulations (IATA, DOT, IMDG) and proper documentation.
* Forklift certification.
* Experience with SAP operating system.
* Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
