SharePoint / Power Platform Developer
Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a SharePoint / Power Platform Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position located in Patuxent River, Maryland 20670. Telework will be permitted, however, the candidate must be able to visit the customer site at Patuxent River, MD 20670 (St. Mary's County Maryland) 1- 2 days per month.

ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the development and maintenance of Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, Power Platform solutions, and SharePoint sites.
Ensure accurate data collection and analytics by supporting metric collection, maintaining operability of databases and SharePoint sites, and serving as the primary Power BI coordinator.
Support the Lead IT with ad hoc problem resolution and ensure proper SharePoint site and Power Platform functionality.
Collaborate with the team lead to justify trade-offs between technically optimal solutions and those practical given constraints imposed by existing IT assets,
project management parameters, and deployment schedules.
Ensure that SharePoint implementations and Power Platform solutions meet organizational needs.
Conduct technical research and introduce new ideas to the team.
Provide recommendations on IT applications and SharePoint interfaces in collaboration with the team lead.
Assist the lead with Power Platform and SharePoint development and implementation of new or enhanced applications. Ensure the successful change-over
from existing versions and contribute to issue resolution for all installations, ensuring proper site performance.
Contribute to the design of test strategies to ensure that assigned applications and SharePoint sites function as intended.
Support troubleshooting and address issues during testing.
Support the lifecycle of IT solutions and applications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
High School diploma or GED is required.
BA/BS and 3 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above -OR- AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above -OR- HS/GED and 9 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above.
A bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar is preferred.
College degrees must be obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, and/or providing support for MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI) applications.
Experience gathering requirements from management and technical personnel and developing appropriate solutions.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining SharePoint lists.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirement.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with connecting to SQL Server with Power Platform.
Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development.
Experience with React JS application development to include the use of the REST and/or Graph API within the SPFx.
Power Platform certifications.
Active SECRET clearance.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
The annual base compensation range is $100,000 to $130,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
